Advertising: Mini Banners and Text Links

At the top of every one of our content pages, we have two advertising options:

1. Mini Banner

Right below the page name and description, there are up to three clickable mini-bannerss. Our design or yours.  This gives you an attractive and affordable  way to get your image seen by anybody who goes into this page.

There are actually three different opportunities for getting your graphic up on Sheville. How do you decide? Here's a quick way to think about this.

1. Banners float around the site. Today, somebody might see you on the page on sustainability; tomorrow, on women's issues. You are literally all over the site! The physical dimenions of the banner area make this the largest image you can have on our site.
2. The Business Directory ads are there when somebody is ready to shop our advertisers and supporters. The image size is not so large as the banner, but it is accompanied by text about your business.
3. The clickable mini-banner is slightly smaller than the Business Directory graphic - and there is no text. But everybody who goes into that section sees it.

2. Clickable Text Link

Below the clickable image links, we have a series of text links - and up to three of these can be advertising links. The rest are reserved for "must have" links from community leaders or non-profits. If you would like to be part of this very short and exclusive listing, you can sign up for $50 per year. This option includes your business name and a direct link.

How to Submit Your Ad Artwork

We will design your ad using your existing digital pictures, logo or art work:

• Banner Ad - 468 wide x 90 pixels high at 72 dpi resolution sent in .gif, .jpg or .png format.
• Directory listings and Mall page listings: typically, we prefer a .jpg or .png that is approximately 100 pixels high at 72 dpi.
• We are happy to take the digital pictures for your advertising. Plea se add $50.00 to $150.00 for this service depending on time and business location.
• We can capture your logo or art work from your existing website, but we will charge a set-up fee for the work.

For a design fee of $50 per hour, we are happy to help you to design a logo.

Payment Information

For Sidebar Ads and website development, half of the total amount is due prior to publication. For renewals, payment is within 30 days of invoicing. If you wish to arrange payment terms, we will require a credit card for automatic billing. You can also use the Paypal links here for your convenience.

For Banner Ads , payment for the first three months is due prior to publication. A $75.00 set-up fee will be charged for ads purchased for less than a half year.

For all services of $100 or less, and for all set-up fees: full payment is due in advance.

We accept Paypal, MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Discover, or checks.

Ad posting occurs 7 – 10 days after payment is received.

 

THE FINE PRINT: Sheville.org reserves the right to reject any advertisement, in whole or in part, and reserves the right to print the word “advertisement” on any ad that resembles editorial copy. Advertisements are published with the understanding that the advertiser and/or agency is authorized to publish the submitted material. The advertiser and/or agency agrees to indemnify and hold Sheville.org from and against any loss or expenses resulting from any disputes of legal claims based upon the contents or subject matter of such advertisements, including claims or suits for defamation, libel, violation of privacy, plagiarism, and copyright infringement.  Advertisers are responsible for checking the accuracy of their ads, including links. Sheville will not knowingly accept advertising from firms who discriminate on the basis of gender, gender orientation, race, national origin, religion or age.
